It's been 7 days. Applied to a lot of jobs, couple of responses. Job interview this Thursday afternoon. 4 interviewers, just like on american idol. Applied to more jobs and more cover letters today. It doesn't help that wow was offline for maintenance. Uber finally made me a driver. Think I going to do my first run this weekend.

Got to eat spicy noodle ramen for dinner tonight. Good stuff, but did I pay for later.

Sometimes, I wish everyone had a job. No unemployment. No petty reasons of termination. No fire at will. Got to love capitalism.

Did pass level 80 on candy crush soda saga. Damn you, gummy bears.

Is it me, or does skyrim controls suck? If you don't have a controller, it is really difficult to move your character.

Got to grocery shopping soon.

Plans for tomorrow:

apply for more positions, more resumes, and more cover letters.
major errand to take care of
few minor things to do
do some more homework

Good news, I have a job interview this week. Someone saw my resume, and want to schedule an interview with me. Nervous about the interview and grateful I got an interview. Went for resume and cover letter help at the community college career services. They were really helpful. No more objectives. A summary. Everything is automated due to the sheer volume per week of people applying. Key words aplenty on the resume.

Heard back from a co-worker at the old job. The project is still not finished. A whole month wasted on the project. Heard that the new manager hired someone to fill me my vacancy. Rumor is it's his friend. Same ages and from the same company. They set me up. Bitter taste.

Retooled my resume based on their suggestions. Applied to couple more jobs. No responses from the last week. Going on 7 days of unemployment. Need a job. Friends and family are supporting me as best they can. I feel I need to gain employment quickly. I heard amazon does turking. Unsure how they make money or what turking is. Is it really worth it?

Cross fingers for more responses. Another day done, Plan for tomorrow is to apply for  more places, few errands, homework, hit the gym, and more applications and cover letters.

Some errands were done today. Cleaned out my car, Applied to more jobs. Put my resume on careerbuilder and indeed. Did some more homework. Spring break this week. Did some cleaning of the place today.

Good night, It is late. Some tasks are to be done in the morning.

Did laundry today. Should have checked the several of the clothes from the dryer. Wet. Should have used high heat instead of low heat. But, several of the tags say tumble dry low. Maybe drying longer would have helped more. Didn't realize my problem until after bringing all the clothes from the laundromat. Lesson learned. Painful and expensive lesson.

Got a lead on several openings at a hospital system. Going to check out those openings. Did get my response on unemployment though. Some money per week, better than nothing. I also hear that some people make a bit of money on ebay. That they go down to goodwill, buy something cheap, and sell it for more. Wonder if that is true.

I have also been to reddit's getmotivated. Great stuff. To stay positive, lose the bad habits, lose the weight, more confident, and get better employed.

Another day done, tomorrow will be better.

First week...

So, I'm setting up this blog about me and my life. Mind the bad grammar and bad spelling.

This month was not been very good for me. I lost my job. They let me go after 10+ years. I'm fortunate enough to have good friends and family to support me. But, the job hunt is daunting and scary. Circumstances that let to me not working with my company is two-sided affair and the company has all the leverage. A project was given to me with many obstacles and not enough time and money to resolve all the issues. They took the project away from me and gave it to their most "senior" expert. Senior is polite way of saying of stuck at the same position for over 30 years. Last, I heard that they still haven't resolved the issues and more obstacles and problems are involved. Maybe, this is a blessing in disguise. A kick in the pants to get a better job and a better profession. Sure, I learned lot of new skills and experiences. And, got me through the damn recession. But, if managers' turf wars, constant back-stabbing, and pounce on any sign of weakness(they ridicule a guy for losing his mom), is it really worth it?

The tasks I accomplished this week were filing of unemployment, renew my driver's license, canceled some expenses, create a resume and so many cover letters. Applied to several jobs this week, no response back yet. I heard people spend 8-10 hours a day applying for jobs with no responses. Weeks and months on end. Maybe years. God, I hope not. This is stuff that they don't tell you when you are a kid. Jobs are so temporary.

I did sign up for Uber. Don't have enough money to go back to school and learn a new skill. I can't get a financial aid since I have so many credit hours. Well, tomorrow should be better than this week.

Hope someone relate to my predicament.
